The campaign microsite was created to drive participation into the client’s annual illustration competition. Throughout the years, the competition has also been a promotional platform for new and upcoming Pixar movies. This present an opportunity for us to explore a different and exciting look every time. Apart from showcasing the contest mechanics, prizes and important dates, one of the challenge were to blend both the contest’s contest with the movie tie-in promotion.

This year around, the animation movie Cars was the theme around, and we were inspired to take a spin of the user interface based on the interior of a car dashboard. Apart from trying to challenge convention at that time on how a website should look like, the transitions between the section are carefully designed to ensure an optimal cinematic experience can be felt by the user as well.
