The Toot And Haff Show

This is a Flash animation project completed for my Diploma program. The story of animation are based on the old folklore race between the hare and tortoise. The entire project was developed by me from the idea, concept, character design towards the final animation design.

Prior to animating the sequence, proper planning such as storyboarding as carefully thought through different scenes. Extra twist were added on top of the original storyline which were always stereotyping the ending with the tortoise winning due to it’s slow but steady pace.

The animation is starred by Toot the tortoise, Haff the hare and Buldo the bulldog.

The Last Fantasy

This project is completed as part of my Diploma program study, which explores basics in web design and pixel art. The project centers around the tribute to a popular video game, which every elements on the site are crafted pixel by pixel.

The mini-site is designed as a virtual journey to guide user through a simulated role-playing game that is also heavily influenced by that popular franchise. This website is also featured on one of the video games magazine that is published locally in Malaysia.

R3v0lut10n : Degrees of Changes

This website is completed as part of my Diploma program in Multimedia design. The objective of this project is to experiment with possibilities in website design layouts. The idea of human growth and evolution are told from the website visuals, guiding users through different section of the website, revealing part of the stories as the user navigates through the website.

It is also one of the earliest project for me to explore various possibility in creating design for website layout, especially with 3D software, such as 3DS Max Studio, in this instance.

The Complete Student Guide to…

I was in charge of the art direction of this project, which also designed the posters and look for the exhibition. The project is aimed to attract and educate potential students enrolling in Multimedia Design course.

With the target audience in mind, fusion between pop culture and technology are applied into the design elements for the posters, wallpapers, icons, and video trailer. Video trailer is also produced and placed on the college machines, allowing user fast access towards the exhibition details.

Creative Media Award 2006

Prior to Creative Media Award, it is known as New Media Award, an annual scholarship competition. Time time around, I was the acting Project Lead responsible from the front-end development, back-end development and as well quality assurance of the end result. A lot of thought and planning are poured into this project, from how the website should look and function.

A lot of details are carefully crated, such as improving user experience in understanding the competition visually, as well as navigation experience for the entire website. An animated sequence on how to use the website is also created.
