Jebsen & Jessen SEA: CNY 2011
I was commissioned by Jebsen & Jessen South East Asia in designing their latest electronic chinese new year greeting card. The card would be delivered electronically to their respective customers and friends.
This is an animated greeting card created for the lunar new year of Metal Rabbit in 2011. A rabbit is created for the animation symbolizing growth and prosperity at greater heights, guiding user through different auspicious messages.
GMA Garnet Group: Christmas 2010
I was commissioned by GMA Garnet Group to create an interactive greeting card for 2010’s Christmas. The greeting card was designed to convey holiday and fun feeling, but still keeping an universally accept look which would be applicable across different countries.
The greeting card would have greeting messages from the client offices around the world, which were represented by their location on a 3D globe.
DiGi : DiGi Wall @ DiGi360
This project was commissioned by DiGi Malaysia for the opening of their new Concept store located in Solaris Mont Kiara, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This installation is known as the DiGi Wall. Using hand gestures, user can interact with the content on a 52 inch LCD TV.
The contents are created originally and the design are crafted for the Full-HD resolution (1980 pixels by 1080 pixels) LCD TV display. I worked on DiGi Wall’s Interactive Expression and Music Mixer.
Interactive Experience is a live drawing board, allowing user to express themselves freely using hand gesture on a 52 inch canvas. The result of their artwork can also be printed as a postcard-sized photo.
Music Mixer in an interactive synthesizer, allowing user to compose their tunes on-the-fly. The Music Mixer consists of 8 different tone.

I was commissioned by Jebsen & Jessen South East Asia in designing their latest electronic chinese new year greeting card. The card would be delivered electronically to their respective customers and friends.
The design of the card are based on combination of the year of Metal Tiger and the beautiful Chinese calligraphy art. Although the message conveyed from the interactive greeting card as short and concise but the golden brush strokes wishes both longevity and prosperity to the reader of the e-card.
I was responsible entirely in designing and developing the greeting card.
X-Mini : Sound Beyond Size
This is an interactive and engaging product site for X-mi, a company that sells audio equipment that is small in size, but big in impact. The objective of the project is to achieve the interactive experience that emulates the explosive feature of the product itself.
The website’s background image would react to the music that is currently playing. The website allows fans to participate in creating the picture mosaic in one of the section with their Facebook account.
Michelin : The Fuel Saving Game
This flash game is created as part of the branding exercise in promoting the product and the main site, Michelin Saves Fuel. The game was also created as an expandable banner on portals like Yahoo Singapore using the platform from Eyeblaster.
The objective of the game is to control the Michelin GreenX tyre, and collect all miles on the game without hitting on the petrol kiosks, except when you have collected a power-up GreenX icon.
Augment Your Digital Experience
This microsite is an marketing tool for Yolk Pte Ltd. The website is hybrid implementation between Flash and motion graphics.
Through the microsite, I want to show how an interactive agency can deliver a transformation for their client. Hence, through an online engagement channel like Augmented Reality, user may experience a surprise in changing a dull and conventional looking site onto a digitally-relevant and engaging website.

IDA Singapore – Interactive Digital Media
The challenge for this project is to turn a Powerpoint slide presentation into an interesting medium for our client to present it to their visitors. The content of the presentation is a showcase of all successful startups from Singapore.
The project consists not only text based information, but a huge amount of newspaper and audio clippings, TV recordings and raw footage of interviews with successful entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurs are shot in front of a green screen, which will then appear in the digital presentation.
The project took 2 months in development process. The installation was installed at Fusionopolis, Singapore. Alternatively, user will be able to access the content on a website as well.
The New Media Award 2005
The New Media Award is an annual scholarship competition aimed at secondary school students and working professional. The event itself are often tie-up with animated blockbuster to market itself among the youths. This project is aimed to provide resource and relevant information to the competition, which would ultimately lead the user to participate and win.
It is utmost important to keep usability in mind, which would help keeping the traffic of the website healthy and user engaged. However I took on the challenge beyond good usability, which experimented with the limitation of the web, and to provide a cinematic browsing experience, despite limitation such as internet bandwidth and user’s computer requirement at that time.
Speakup : A Reactive Interactive Installation
An interactive installation that was exhibited in The One Gallery, The One Academy of Communication Design, Malaysia for a duration of 1 month. This interactive work is a photo-booth, which will be activated by voice from the user. It is a design experiment looking into possibilities of a no-keyboard no-mouse user interface. The project was a success, garnering more than 1000 pictures of the period of 4 weeks.
The installation’s images is then processed and put online after the exhibition, allowing the user to participate in discussion as well as viewing their creation.
Creative Media Award 2006
Prior to Creative Media Award, it is known as New Media Award, an annual scholarship competition. Time time around, I was the acting Project Lead responsible from the front-end development, back-end development and as well quality assurance of the end result. A lot of thought and planning are poured into this project, from how the website should look and function.
A lot of details are carefully crated, such as improving user experience in understanding the competition visually, as well as navigation experience for the entire website. An animated sequence on how to use the website is also created.
Hardboiled #2 : The Environmental Issue
This time around, it was much like an unusual project for me, for a chance to work on a project for good cause. Instead of creating a new website, I had an opportunity to complete an interactive article for Hardboiled Magazine from yolk. Out of 20 articles, I had the opportunity to craft the interactive work from words, for No Impact Man feature and A Beautiful Lie
This articles are suppose to cater for the second issue of this magazine, which features a lot of information on conserving our environment and how we can do our part in making it a better place to be. The launch of the magazine was held in conjunction with Singapore’s Earth Hour.
The End Earth
This project is an experimental online comic portal targeted towards comic enthusiasts and artists. It is a working prototype of a comic with evolving storyline which requires participation and contribution from a community.
Mini On Trial
A microsite for MINI aimed at creating awareness on the features of the new MINI. User are guided through an interactive role-playing game where they would take on a role of detective and help MINI find the an actual suspect of a crime scene.
I took on the development of this project which the creative and art direction is already defined by the agency. The microsite contains 3 mini games such as a jigsaw puzzle.
We Satellites
We Satellites was a new album from a Singapore band, Electrico, set to launch in 2008. An interactive audio experience was planned for the microsite, promoting the album and giving user sneak preview of the songs from the album.
The website is an audio visualiser which reacts to the music that is playing on the background. The website consists of media downloads and access to the band’s pictures, videos and gigs information. Songs from the album are periodically released on the website for fans to share and listen.
The Regent Residences Kuala Lumpur
The microsite is created for a luxury residency brand located near to KLCC, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The website had to appear stylish and smart for the target audience, which the client wanted the actual residence to portray.
A sense of depth was created on the website, to guide user through a smooth, elegant transitions between section. Like a country with 4 different seasons, the website would transform it’s look and colour mood as you travel to different section of the website.
OiOiO : Talk To The Nature
A design experiment between me and Orang Hutan that is recognized as a winner in HKDA Awards 2007. The project aimed to explore possibilities of alternative Human Interface Device. The project is created in conjunction of Earth Day, which was exhibited in Ikano Power Centre, Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.
The project is an interactive installation that allows user to speak through a loud haler, created from recycled material. The screen would then respond in feedback to the user interaction.
Budak Pantai
The website provides an interactive audio experience, which allows user not only view information related to the band, but also allows user to explore with different instruments. The website strongly portrays the image of the band as happy and fun loving band members from the animations.
Each instruments can be switched on or off. A recording from each the band member’s voice are located in each of the instrument. When all instruments is switched on, the actual song would play harmoniously.
