DiGi : DiGi Wall @ DiGi360

This project was commissioned by DiGi Malaysia for the opening of their new Concept store located in Solaris Mont Kiara, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This installation is known as the DiGi Wall. Using hand gestures, user can interact with the content on a 52 inch LCD TV.

The contents are created originally and the design are crafted for the Full-HD resolution (1980 pixels by 1080 pixels) LCD TV display. I worked on DiGi Wall’s Interactive Expression and Music Mixer.

Interactive Experience is a live drawing board, allowing user to express themselves freely using hand gesture on a 52 inch canvas. The result of their artwork can also be printed as a postcard-sized photo.

Music Mixer in an interactive synthesizer, allowing user to compose their tunes on-the-fly. The Music Mixer consists of 8 different tone.

IDA Singapore – Interactive Digital Media

The challenge for this project is to turn a Powerpoint slide presentation into an interesting medium for our client to present it to their visitors. The content of the presentation is a showcase of all successful startups from Singapore.

The project consists not only text based information, but a huge amount of newspaper and audio clippings, TV recordings and raw footage of interviews with successful entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurs are shot in front of a green screen, which will then appear in the digital presentation.

The project took 2 months in development process. The installation was installed at Fusionopolis, Singapore. Alternatively, user will be able to access the content on a website as well.

Speakup : A Reactive Interactive Installation

An interactive installation that was exhibited in The One Gallery, The One Academy of Communication Design, Malaysia for a duration of 1 month. This interactive work is a photo-booth, which will be activated by voice from the user. It is a design experiment looking into possibilities of a no-keyboard no-mouse user interface. The project was a success, garnering more than 1000 pictures of the period of 4 weeks.

The installation’s images is then processed and put online after the exhibition, allowing the user to participate in discussion as well as viewing their creation.

OiOiO : Talk To The Nature

A design experiment between me and Orang Hutan that is recognized as a winner in HKDA Awards 2007. The project aimed to explore possibilities of alternative Human Interface Device. The project is created in conjunction of Earth Day, which was exhibited in Ikano Power Centre, Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.

The project is an interactive installation that allows user to speak through a loud haler, created from recycled material. The screen would then respond in feedback to the user interaction.
