The Complete Student Guide to…

Tuesday, March 3rd, 2009

Completed early last month, 18th February 2006, this project kicked off and took approximately 1 month towards completion. As a designer in a team of three, I’m responsible to create a full set of design catered for the exhibition that is targeted towards potential students that will join the course in Multimedia Design.

There are of course restrictions and limitation by the deadline and resources. By looking at various research, it was difficult to set a proper art direction at that time, but the team decided to move on and to promote a more of like a ‘Dummies Guide for…” when we saw books that directs and teach people on what a subject is, for this case, Multimedia Design, for potential student that wanted to join. Fusioning both old ideas and design with the urban and contemporary street styled design, discarding those ‘grungy’ effect, the final outcome of the entire art direction is set.

My job scope ranged from designing the icons for roadsigns to posters, screen interface design, and also DVD Showreel’s title sequence. Was a really challenging job to handle at first, but nevertheless, i learnt a new area of skill in managing an exhibition’s design. Bravo.

Levi’s 501 Day, Stay True

Tuesday, March 3rd, 2009

The 501 Day, Stay True event was held on May 2006, a festival to celebrate creativity gathered designers and singers/bands. Besides being the invited performer for the event, I was also given a space to promote songs that I’ve written and composed on my own.

A series of posters reflecting the songs that I’ve composed is printed and designed for the event. Free Audio CDs of my songs are also given away to visitors for promotional purpose on my songs.
