Co-designing The Minimal Viable Product (MVP)
Before the workshop: Proto personas were created during the initial discovery and planning of the design workshop. As a result, three user types with their needs, goals and pain points were identified:
- Viewer: Browse and share videos, and can become a content creator
- Mover: Uploads own video content and organises livestream which are co-hosted with MOVE
- Support staff: Internal team member from MOVE. Manages request from users. Plans and operates the livestreams.

With the user types identified, a research on competitors (popular video sharing or livestream service) were conducted to draft important user stories that may be required by the platform. These user stories were reviewed with stakeholders during the workshop.

With the user types identified, a research on competitors (popular video sharing or livestream service) were conducted to draft important user stories that may be required by the platform. These user stories were reviewed with stakeholders during the workshop.
During the workshop: Based on Jeff Patton’s User Story Mapping, stakeholders were invited for a hands-on session to define features that are essential to the product. These sessions includes team members that were well versed in fitness, product development, technology and UX. With less than 2 working days (total hours spent), this User Story Mapping workshop enabled the team members to determine the MVP features of the product, and slicing out features that may applicable for future releases.

After the workshop: The completed user story maps where digitised and uploaded into a centralised repository. This enabled team members to easily reference the planned feature at any time.
