A great short with a lot of great touch on details and emotion. It does really made you wonder why it took a 2 year post-production at first, until the short starts to build up right in the middle. Really worth 10 minutes of your life. The real core of the greatness in this short does not only lies on the technology itself, but a pretty good combination between scriptwriting and scores. Nevertheless, the effects are top notch.

[Travel] Journey To the North

This 2009 Chinese New Year has been a mixed bag of emotion to me. It’s not bad while it’s not entirely good? But one thing definitely strucked me good is no matter how bad the situation tend to be, be it psychologically or financially, the Chinese would try their best to celebrate this event no matter what. The whole one week experience riding up North from the city to outskirts area has been fun. Running across from Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Perak and Pulau Pinang. Almost 4 states in total.

And first and foremost, let me introduce my little humble extra companion! The almight D60! Not all pictures taken on this post are captured by this camera, well if you still remember my good old Fuji F11.

[Inspiration] Iran : A Nation of Bloggers

Surely an interesting twist to what we usually see on screen, bashing and hating on the China’s counterpart in blogging system and the nation itself in censorship.

More details of the project from the students of Vancouver Film School can be found on their blog. VFS does feels like one of the dream school that any motionographer would want to attend.

p.s. – Oh damn it, I didn’t realize the new HD/Widescreen format of the youtube videos screws up the layout

Brighter, Better, Higher

Basically I have absolutely no idea what to write for the title and just randomly come up with something that’s irrelevant. However I’m actually anticipating to post up pictures that I’ve taken during the past 1 week holiday in Malaysia. Been a really different, yet memorable experience for me, in a lot of way. Photos below are few of those is taken during the whole journey.

I’m here again to wish you a great prosperous year ahead! Though it’s been quite depressing as few of my meetups with friend always end up in some pessimistic discussion on their work. More jobs loss?

A Working Day’s Life in Singapore

It might have been a while since I made any sharing that is particularly useful on my blog. However I felt that there is a strong urge to share this for those who wants to work in Singapore as a designer, particularly web design but had no idea how it feels and lives at here. Although some other designers might have more exciting lifestyles than mine.

Waking up in the typical room that you can normally find in Singapore’s HDB. For this size of room where the MRT stations are like 3-4 away from town, you will need to pay around 700 to 800 SGD per month on average. Not sure if the price has gone down, but during last year, the prices has been climbing up like a mad man.
