[Travel] Kuantan & Terengganu

Earlier this year, most probably around the month of May, had a chance to pay a visit back to the East peninsula of Malaysia, namely Terengganu and Pahang.

I stayed in Awana Kijal Resort, which located past the Cherating beach in Terengganu. The place is awesome as it is, due to the facilities and also location, which takes you few walks down to the beach.

[Thoughts] Blatant rip-off or pure coincidence?

It has been a long time since I do not know when where I give some of my two cents in Flash sites. I have stumbled across this site in the morning and upon the first 10 seconds, deja-vu occurred to me.

Cup Size Choir

Apparently, I am pretty challenged to think why the decision was made by the Creative Director or Art Director to pitch the project with this idea. Was it coincidence? Or inspiration? You decide. However to think that a good idea will always lives on, it’s a true statement, because even until today, it will always reminded me of the site below, that whipped this up years ago.

OOOOOOUCH.com

Even today, the execution and idea are still one of the cheekiest and brilliant one. The site above originally posted back at myflashportal (That was 4 years ago!).

Time flies

I’m surely lost track of what has been happening around me with so many things for me to keep track within these few month. The saddest thing? It’s the end of this year, 2010 which marked a lot of tragedy in news, perhaps the decade. And it also made me realized that I have been living for more than 2 decade, “invisible” burden that has been building up on me, which makes me wonder what it would really feel like being a 30 years old or a 50 years old person. I miss being a kid.

Sure one would argue that having a property or car or money at your disposal at this point of time is the utmost important thing in life, however I can’t shake the fact that I can survive on merely 10 Ringgit for a week when I’m young. I just have no idea on what kind of pressure that one-man would need to endure in taking up mortage, loan that literally holds that person down to 30 years, unless they are exceptionally stable financially, which you can make a one-off payment to big-sum-items like house. I guess that is probably the part of living, and getting old. No more that you will hear people around you talking about things you used to like during childhood, except marriage, wealth and having children. It’s pretty interesting to always step back and have a look at the path you’re walking down the road.

I surely do enjoy this few month with several interesting thing happened to me. Starting with a weekend picnic at Marina Barrage.

[Lomography] Blackbirdfly (DECADE) x Fisheye 2

It took a while (pretty long time) for me to process and finish those rolls I had on my Fisheye and Blackbirdfly. But as usual, I’m stunned with the results shown after every film processed. The Blackbirdfly is one tough nut to crack, I still had a hard time finding the correct setting and experimenting with the camera. But there are definitely few favorite shot I have gotten with the camera. Despite all of the above, it has been a fun, but expensive journey with lomography.

Above is taken from Penang’s Kek Lok Si Temple.

Above taken via the Fisheye 2 in Singapore

I had no idea how the above effect can be replicated again?
