[Rant] Looking towards a new direction

It could just have been more than half a year I have not been blogging officially on my life except bit and pieces on some interesting thing I have found. Been working as a designer in Singapore for the past 2 year, a lot of thing has grown to me, in all aspects. And there’s a period of time I felt strongly that I have to move on and look for something that I believe and meant to do in the beginning but just because limited by resources.

Pictures below are taken somewhere around the last month of me in Yolk. It’s good time.

[Random] Facts or Fallacy?

Sometimes it really makes you wonder why is the effort always geared towards making a campaign full of shit rather than improving their quality of service? I mean its a no brainer when the internet is flooded with mass roar on users that is using their product/service. What makes them think? It’s really funny somehow to see how a random search can contribute to something this big. lol.

The uproar

lol

The product

p.s. – I doubt those people in the picture in real life “are that happy” using the service compared to above lol.

[Rant] May Flu Bless You

It must have been a while since there is a proper update on what is happening around my life in the past month. I hate it during this period of time so much, but it’s something that we will have to go through, some seasonal flu shit, in a more larger scale nowadays. The month of May has been a crazy one with so many sleepless nights and people around getting infected with the “seasoned” flu, and people getting paranoid over a lot of things.

Well one of the highlight would be my frustration over my macbook’s keyboard are finally curbed with this below. I know it does come with a hefty price tag for a keyboard, but it’s either i fork 500 ringgit for the replacement on the top cover (i didn’t buy ACPP, damn) or vice versa)

It’s actually pretty well built, and I think most of the newer iMac owners would appreciate this old fine keyboard.

Would take a bit of  getting used to that some of the function keys are repositioned. But my overall impression on this keyboard, is really good. The build’s pretty solid, the keys felt snappy and you can type pretty fast on it, just probably the most common question would arise from everyone’s mouth after a while, how would you clean it?

And no, I didn’t buy the album, in fact, I won it, (or precisely, “we”, my girlfriend and I were walking down the Orchard Road after dinner in Singapore) from some street event by a local radio station here. Just some random Q&A and got it :D

I still think they’re pretty… experimental to me.

Hot hot heat!
It’s undeniably also a freaking hot month to come for us. And reported on the news that the temperature might go up by few degrees more. Some of the capture taken along the balcony at my workplace. I hope you’ll be able to feel the heat from the heavy shadow casted on the floor. Yes, it’s that hot.

[Inspiration] Get Equipped With Hacker-ism Knowledge,

stop

Stop H*Commerce

At first when I went into the site, I thought it’s a movement by Symantec or equivalent, and didn’t notice the McAfee brand until later, and though that the brand died off in the early 2000. They were a bunch of great dudes back in 90’s but slowly overshadowed by Symantec’s Norton Antivirus. It’s nice to see them making a lot of positive comeback in this industry. However, aside from a damn fine professional job at the site’s transition and interface design. It’s really :

  • Usable, from all the visual indications on what you can do and click next.
  • Slick, no-nonsense site
  • VERY informative towards mainstream audience that NEEDS to know about basics in avoiding scams, hackers and jargons that they always bumped into the internet world.

So this is a MUST visit for those that has no idea what a backdoor means, no it’s not your house’s back door. Please.

Thanks Eugene.

p.s. -<sarcasm> site’s aside, I really get f*cking fed up of receiving random spam message from my contact list that messaged me less than 1 alphabet per year, telling me how I can earn more moneys. So please, do yourself a favor and learn to get protected. </sarcasm>

[Rant] Hot Boiling Lives

It’s been rather an emotional month for all of us, with all the brewing incidents around the world, riots, diseases, economic meltdown. I could have gone a bit too far and think it might be some sign of something, but I think we can definitely still be optimistic in going through all these shit. Despite the flu season that is happening towards these few month ahead, I guess all I can say is you to take really good care of your health.

Inside a Korean restaurant located at Amcorp Mall, Malaysia. A superliciously yummy place to be. On the fourth floor, right beside McDonald’s.

While they may be a Korean restaurant, they’d serve Japanese delicacies as well! And it’s nothing less than delicious than you can expect.

It’s pretty funny how I’m able to find this bottle once again after the last time I saw it during my college day. It’s a cidar.

A building located in Fusionopolis, Singapore. A pretty futuristically inspired building that connects 3 block to each other through a hanging mid-air bridge. Sounds cool enough?

Got myself a new bling from Converse, and I’m loving it!

Can you spot the bird? It seems unpleasingly familiar, at least in Singapore, besides that I’ll be able to spot few Pipit around. Anyone know what is the name of this species?

And on a fine day was passing through ION Orchard, right above the Orchard MRT. Was on the verge of completion. Opening soon in Q3 2009 it seems.
