[Travel] Part 4 of 8, Taiwan

Back to Taipei

Though the trip in Hualien was a short one. It is just nice to serve as an introductory trip.

We purchased these train ticket to Taipei on the day of arrival. NT$445 for one-way trip per person. 1 and a half hour.

Outside of the train station inhibits a lot of taxi (literally translates to little yellow in Chinese).

Outside of a souvenir shop.

The train station’s entrance

It’s really a rare sight to see these train crossings. At least not in the city anymore.

One of the stops.

A massive incinerator.

Taipei Station 臺北火車站

When we got back from Hualien, we had no where else to go except lingering inside the Taipei Station underground mall (Taipei ZhongShan Metro Mall). The rain were pouring like there’s no tomorrow. You’ll be shocked to know that below those high-rise buildings and highways, there is a bunch of lively people and shops all around…just like what we have on the ground above.

A little exhibition right behind of the underground mall.

There’s even locker for rent.

There’s this…machine, and look at the bottom left where there is one You-tiao stucked. That’s supposed to be mine. I lost like about 100NT$ on that machine.!@#$%^&*($

If you walk from the station towards the end, you’ll stumble across a selection of delicious Japanese fast food.

Japanese curry mmmmm.

There’s bento as well.

Asides from food and game (there’s an arcade centre nearby), you can shop for clothes, books, videos, DVDs and even tea.

And finally, I guess they had some promotion for the upcoming Alien vs. Predator movie? Or Terminator?

Gundam museum?

As we thought there are nothing to look and walk around anymore, right above the station there’s this massive store known as Shin-Kong Mitsukoshi Department Store 歡迎光臨新光三越百貨? (direction to the place). If you’re a great fan of Gundam then you shouldn’t miss this.

And for your information, the pictures only shown like 5% of the entire store. You got to be there to see it in person.

That is all for the fourth day, which most of the time took up the journey inside the train from Hualien to Taipei. There isn’t much of place we can walk around since it rained for the whole day. Thanks for reading! More to come!

And got my Panasonic 4GB SDHC here as well.
