[Part 3] Destination : Krabi
The past 2 day has been a great surprise to us in many ways, including the beauty of the place and people. And of course that made us realize to be at this place within 4 days, is not enough. That is why we are not shocked anymore when to hear foreigner to stay over 4 months for vacation (now that is what we call vacation).

Right in the afternoon, we took the shuttle bus down towards the beach for food, since we returned the bicycle.

And decided to take a try at a more decent looking shop on it’s local delicacies. Most of the waitress speaks English and able to communicate decently.

Chaba Thai Kitchen.

This costs around 10Baht!

This would be the main spotlight of the morning. Green curry chicken. Yummy!

And for all these, it’s less than 300Baht!! I’d chop myself if you can find a place in KL that gives out such price with being delicious. That’s the Tom Yum on the right side, seafood flavor.

It’s drizzling on the whole day, nothing much that we can do to move around, and luckily our island trip does not fall on this day. And thus, after the breakfast, lunch, dinner, we headed down to one of the travel agency and look for option to walk around, and decided on…Tiger Cave.

Though we didn’t realize at first, but it’s pretty hefty to pay 800Baht to go back and forth to this place only, despite with paying a little more, you can get a whole-day trip with other places as well in a package, with lunch included! That’s a pretty expensive lesson to learn.

Basically the amount of tourist is not as much as we can expect due to the rain, but it’s still filled with a lot of monkeys flying around the places. So beware if you have things hanging or tingling around your body.

There’s several stairs that led up the mountain, which every single of them brings you to different part of the place.

If you decide to take on the challenge, you can climb to the top of the hill, which would be approximately around 1 hour or less in average, there’s 1237 steps in total. Looks easy? Each steps are pretty step unlike your ordinary stairs though.

Somewhere around 200 steps.

And still long way to go.

Monkeys!

Will come back again next time. Didn’t manage to go all the way up due to the weather condition.
Som Tum, upclose

And here we back again once again, in a closer proximity with the maker of the local snack.

As you can see, the main ingredient that makes up the taste is the juices that is squeezed and mixed together.

The local pancake known as roti canai by us (Malaysian). Really crispy and delicious!

Hair braiding! Will take approximately around 2 hours.

The scene of the main road at night.

Ao Nang beach.

The local taxi using motorcycles, known as Tut-Tut.

And this is what we had for dinner, right in front of Mc Donalds, which is a small stall, but yields an unexpected and really good smell of good food!

Different type of chicken that you won’t normally get to eat in town.

Extra spicy soup!

The mixed vegetable is the best!

And on top of all these, a fish! At 100 Baht!
What’s hot at night?

And for some that is looking at hot night life, perhaps this might not be the most ideal place for them ,because this would be the only street that offers that kind of thing you’re finding
Phuket’s probably more appropriate for you then.

Some eerie looking stall just right beside the road.

And if you crave for after-dinner-supper snacks, along the stretch where you find Starbucks and McDonalds, there’s various stalls in front where you’ll catch these.

The chicken is really good for its price.
What’s the story morning glory?

And this is the last morning we’ll be at Krabi, upon waking up, the weather has been absolutely beautiful.

The morning dew.

And probably due to the rain the night, thats a bunch of mist over the mountain.

This? It’s only 1 ringgit!

And before we leave the inn, we decided to take a try on the stall that is recommended by the inn keeper, just right beside it.

The switches you’ll find locally here.

And ta-daa! The final spotlight of the trilogy post, the Tom Yum Goong (Tom Yam with shrimp). Note the different coloru compared to the one we had with seafood? Do not be fooled by it’s pale colour.

Fried chicken, but not your usual ones.

And the dish for the day. All these are like approxiamtely around 200Baht below for 2 person!

Oh, that’s me.

The inn from afar. Not too far actually.

And before we forget, there’s really special or rather, dangerous practice they deal with petrols/gasoline here, where most of the tourist rents bike where they would take the oil from here.

Me and my girl was wondering what would happen if they hired a super-smoker?

At first we decided to take shuttle bus back to the airport, but heck, we missed it due to the fact that it’s not as frequent as the bus to the town, which is on a 5 minutes. This could be a very useful information for you, and shuttle buses to airport would take on a 3 hour interval.

While we almost certainly want to take a cab back to the airport with disappointment, talk about miracle, we stumbled across the driver that drove us to Ao Nang on the first day! Sat!

While most of the people would take 30-45 minutes from the beach towards the airport, he took less than 20 minutes!

And that is without any speeding at all!

Bye bye krabi!

The interior of the airport.

The surrounding of the airport does not have anything interesting until you go towards the beach. Really.

This is one of the thing that catches my attention. Note that the plane’s is made out of a bird’s beak. Bird’s air. Only goes around the domestic flights. Nok Air.

We find it amusing to this level that Monks in Thailand are given special privelleges from their contribution to the religions.

Back to town! And back to work! However I’d strongly felt that having a 4 day trip is not enough. And every single day has been a joyous one.
I’d hope you enjoy reading this and you’ll give Krabi a visit sometime soon! Like…now?
