Gist of Times

As time passes me by, I tend to spend more time sitting down thinking back how I made myself to be at where I am and who I am today. Talk about being nostalgic, and that could be both good and bad I would say, both side of a coin. I’m always trying to tell myself to be grateful of what I have and be good to others *laughs evilly*. But of course I will always be thankful to the people I met, be it those that gave me good or bad experience, one thing I know, is that it will always teach me something new, albeit being negative or hurtful to me as well. I’m a better man now, and striving to be better.

Had a chance to drop by Sushi Zanmai on my trip back. The place is as cozy as usual, but people are filling u up the place fast. Perhaps one thing I think that lacked back then was responses from their services.

Living Statues

It has been a while since my last trip to this historic place. And all I remembered way back was my trip back in primary school. And it’s hard to believe now that I am with my siblings that we rarely had to chance to go out for a walk back then.

One of the temple right along Jonker Street. Was heading towards the famous Ice Kacang. One of the famous delicacies in Malacca, Malaysia.

This is how it looks like. Coated with the famous Malacca Sugar (Gula Melaka), it’s like our version of Ice-Cream from the west.

What is this? Sure makes people wonder. Was walking back up to work. And see this lying around the middle of the road. Isn’t it all about hygiene?

Taken from where I usually took First Coach back to my home.

And then I had a short trip to…you know where. Because I missed the booking to Redang which is supposingly has to be made early of the year. Duh.

And the Korean food there is nice. Worth recommending over a group dine. Tonight…we dine in HEEL!

Do not be fooled by this dual toned picture, it’s striking hot up on the bridge.

And that left a few burnt mark on my body. Apply sun lotion as always.

My lovely nephew(s).

And no, not their birthday, it’s for one of my uncle, which I have never really sure how long it is also has been, since the last reunion with my relatives. Probably it’s the communication barrier and few other factor that set us from coming together as often. Wondering if it’s a good thing or otherwise. But somehow I’m glad at least it happened. The general ‘traditional’ Chinese family have a large family tree if you notice, and compared to the modern Chinese families in Malaysia, which consist of approximately around 5 members on average or less. In contrary, 20 or more siblings on the traditional families!

Being VERY Skeptical

Call me a “insert something here”. But I couldn’t be assed to walk away after having a RM20++ meal without saying something. And that includes of something I read online that is bashing other fast food brand comparing that this is better. And I’m curious and here to try if it’s that good, in comparison to it’s price. Does it live up to it’s name?

The food came, as usual, we need to wait in queue for fresh hot food. Anyway, I was…feeling okay.

The fries and burgers tastes…like…burger and fries. (I’m not being bias am I? :P )

And of course from that then on, I think it would probably be my last time stepping into this stall. I could make better of my 20 ringgit on TGI instead. Anyway, that is just me, couldn’t help from reading someone overrating something and ending disappointing myself.

Riding Values

Familiar name anyone?

Located just right the LRT Bangsar station, it’s pretty a good deal I would say for a one-way trip at RM45 to Singapore. And it’s always right on time, except when hiccup happens at the custom.

What’s food for tonight?

Right beside the Clarke Quay’s CENTRAL, which you can take MRT, has a building which known by CENTRAL, is a shopping centre consists of 2 blocks, one for shopping and another for…food. which is in fact, really good, because you can focus on either way, I’d choose the food. And here there’s quite an amount of food you can choose from, with a large selection from Japanese-Western food. Imagine having hmm…some sushi inside your pasta? Sounds weird but I yet have any chance to try it.

The queue will always be very long on the weekend which I would suggest to book in advance to avoid waiting approximately around 45 minutes.

What’s the option?

When everything else fails, you can probably try this authentic USA food.

Prices would be steep at some point, but the food is good.

And you can taste this nostalgic root beer, in a bottle.

I forgot what this is called, some All-Star…something.

But the place itself is cozy and feels like you are back in the Elvis era? Where rock rolls, the chair is golden red…and the jukebox where you put coin in?

The food close up.

But seriously this is enough for a 2 person sharing.

That would generally sums up on happenings in May. Probably some more update on a later post.
